NZ Performance Car Article

Sorry for the late update from our last drag racing event at Meremere Dragway. Long story short we manage to set a PB in mph during the event. We ran 153mph! No PB's for ET unfortunately, but we were having issues getting the car to launch off the line. Good news is we found the cause of the issue, albeit a couple weeks after the event. It's been fixed and car is ready to go. Since that event we were lucky enough to have NZ Performance Car Magazine do an article on the car. Check out the Christmas issue in news stands now.

2017/2018 Competition Meeting 1 - Meremere Dragway

Last weekend was the first Test and Tune and Competition Meeting for the 2017/2018 Drag Racing Season. Unfortunately bad weather prevented us from doing any testing on Saturdays Test day, which meant we had to do our testing at the Competition Meeting on Sunday.

Our aim for the day was to make sure the car went from A to B with no issues, the new slightly larger slicks wouldn't rub on the guards during a pass, and to iron out any issues we may face during the test sessions before we got into competing for the season ahead.

Long story short, things went well, no major issues to speak of. Just a couple minor, more annoying issues to take care of which we should have sorted by the next event.

At the next meeting we plan to turn the power up and go for gold...

Thanks to Turbosmart, GRP Performance Automatics and Tune Technic for their continued support.

Drag Evo gets new parts

We have been flat out over the last few months, so haven't had much time to post anything on the blog. The new drag racing season is fast approaching so we had BNR Engineering make us a new intake manifold for the Drag Evo. Our old manifold was looking a little worse for wear.

4G63 Power!

Well the drag racing season has finished, and what a season it's been with a number of cars running PB's. One such drag racer was Jason Horn in his Mitsi Lancer. He ran multiple PB's during the course of the season finishing on a new PB of 8.59sec! The engine ran faultlessly all season meaning Jason could compete at every event. He drove the pants off the car this season and nothing shows that more than this picture.

Upgrades to the car are already underway and we can't wait for everyone to see the car next season.

Gaz Whiter is back!

Gaz Whiter hasn't been seen at any motorsport related events recently. He finally came out of the woodwork to participate at the 2017 Leadfoot Festival. He loves the new V8 engine we built for him. Watch the video above and have a listen...

New PB for GRP Racing Mitsubishi Lancer

At the Meremere Comp Meeting 3 over the long weekend, Jason Horn and his GRP Racing Mitsubishi Lancer managed to set a new PB in the blistering heat. Running 8.61 and 8.64 in back to back runs. Both runs beating his previous best of 8.68 sec.
