FAQ

What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, direct debit, Company Cheque, Visa, Mastercard, American Express & Eftpos.

Are you open weekends?
Not officially. We do occasionally go into the workshop on a Saturday until 12pm to catch up on work or do a little cleaning of the workshop. If you can only come to our workshop on the weekend, then please contact us during the week to arrange it with us first.

Can you remove/install the engine in my car after you rebuild it?
Unfortunately we are not able to remove or install engines in cars as we do not have the room. We can recommend good mechanics close to our workshop who can do this for you if needed.

Why flow test a cylinder head?
A good way of evaluating a cylinder head is to see how much air can be forced through it. Flow testing a cylinder head is a great way of doing this to determine if any cylinder head modifications are improving on the standard heads original flow capabilities. You must keep in mind that flow benches are like car dynos, they will all produce different figures. Because of this it is important to use the same flow bench each time you flow test your head to get accurate results. This is why when we flow test a cylinder head and give you your CFM (cubic feet per minute) flow figures you can be assured that your figures are from the same cylinder head, on the same flow bench, with the same operator under the same conditions.

Can you fit the Hytech Bronze Valve guides to my cylinder head?
Yes, we can remove your old guides and fit the new guides to your head.

Can you fit the Hytech Crank Collar to my crankshaft?
Yes, we can machine off the old crank collar and press fit the new collar on and secure with a grub screw for additional safety.

Do you keep a range of aftermarket parts in your shop that I can look at?
Unfortunately we do not have a show room or keep a range of parts in stock. We only order in parts when needed.

Will you sponsor my car?
We get asked a lot to sponsor peoples drag, drift, track or show car. For us to consider sponsorship, you must be successful in your field of motor sport and be able to contribute to the success of our business.

Do you offer a warranty or guarantee on your work?
Yes, the warranty period is 12 months or 20,000km's (which ever comes first) on a fully reconditioned STANDARD engine which does NOT compete or participate in any motor sport type activity. Doing so will mean you (the owner of the engine) will take full responsibility for any damage which may occur as a result. Fuel pump and injectors must be serviced and proof given to us before the warranty applies. The same also applies for turbo's if the engine is turbocharged. The commercial vehicle warranty period is 6 months or 10,000km's (which ever comes first), and the above also applies to commercial vehicles. PERFORMANCE built engines come with a limited warranty. Please see us for details. Please note the above is not our complete warranty policy. We give every customer a copy of our full warranty policy upon completion of our short/long block builds. However should we forget, then please ask us for a copy :)
