Mitsubishi Evo 4G63 build.

Time to document another big horsepower Evo engine build.

Decking the block.
 Boring the block.
Honing the block (sorry can't rotate picture)
Balancing forged pistons (sorry can't rotate picture)
Balancing forged conrods (sorry can't rotate picture)
Balance shaft eliminator has been machined up inhouse.
 The block has been bored, honed, decked, filled with concrete, new frost plugs fitted and painted.
Forged pistons have been fitted to the forged rods.
Balancing the aftermarket crankshaft and assembly.
 Short block is complete with forged pistons, forged rods, aftermarket crankshaft & ARP head studs.

 Ported inlet now flows 19% more than standard.
 Ported exhaust now flows 19% more than standard.
Completed cylinder head with stainless oversize valves, bronze valve guides, beehive springs with titanium retainers, port and polished with 280 degree camshafts.
Cylinder head is on the block with a triple layer metal headgasket sandwhiched in between. About to dial in the 280 degree camshafts and Tomei cam pulleys
The long block is now complete and ready to make some horsepower.

The customer stopped by our workshop to show us his 1948 Ford F1. We built a Ford Flat Head V8 for it. Looking good. Got to love the old school cars.

Chinese made fake Greddy intake plenums.


A customer brought in a copy Greddy inlet manifold for us to look at. After inspection we found that the manifold face was not flat, even though it appeared to be to the naked eye. So we have machined the surface perfectly flat. Something to look out for if you ever buy one of these manifolds.

Turbocharged Cummins Diesel Engines.

We don't just rebuild engines for road cars and race cars. We also rebuild industrial and commercial engines. We currently have to rebuild 4 turbocharged Cummins engines for commercial fishing boats. These engines are very heavy and require a forklift to move them. The photo shows the first 2 engines of the 4 to rebuild.

We have made some positive changes to his new engine setup to fix the broken rocker issues that many SR20 owners have once high horsepower is achieved. Short block with forged pistons, forged rods, ARP main studs, ARP head studs, TRD metal headgasket, modified sump, ACL race series bearings, Custom crank cradle brase.



Port and polished, 1mm oversize valves, reground cams, heavy duty springs and retainers.



Engine all assembled and topped off with a nice Gates racing cambelt.

A Nissan RB25DET. A complete recondition with forged pistons, ARP rod bolts, ARP head studs, Custom sump extension and fully balanced. For a top NZ drift car.

Huge Volvo cylinder head



We have just finished reconditioning this Volvo cylinder head. The huge 200kg (est) Volvo NH12 cylinder head next to a Mistubishi Evo cylinder head to give you an idea of scale.
